All our Music Together® teachers are trained through the Center for Music and Young Children (CMYC). Backgrounds include training in music, music curriculum, parent education and early-childhood-music-development. Committed to excellence, Teresa regularly attends additional trainings offered by the national Music Together organization. Teresa, Mackenzie & Meg are passionate about music and the development of children. They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.
Ms. Silvia is originally from Peru.
Her passion for young children shines through her smile and enthusiasm for teaching and she's has dedicated her whole career to working with young children.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Education from Endicott College and is Montessori certified.
Silvia worked at the Harborlight Montessori school for 2 years where she taught Spanish and as a beloved Nanny for several years.
During this time she discovered another passion: music.
She started playing the ukulele and thought it would be great to combine her two great passions: working with young children and music.
She came across the Canta y Baila Conmigo® program, a Spanish immersion music class for early childhood created by Maddie Welch, a Massachusetts Music Together teacher, and can't wait to start teaching it. Join her for this high energy and education filled class!
