Health and Safety in the era of COVID-19:

As consideration for Music Together of Salem allowing you to attend an in-person class, you agree that as you arrive and leave class, you will keep your child(ren) with you. You agree that everyone in your family over two years of age will wear a mask the whole time while in the building. You agree that you will maintain physical distancing during class, setting up no closer than three feet from other families and that you will retrieve your child(ren) promptly whenever they leave your family's seating location moving in the direction of other participants.

Music Together of Salem reserves the right to switch classes to Zoom permanently in case the COVID-19 situation worsens and it is no longer safe to meet in a group. No refunds will be given if this happens.

You also agree to the following statements:

ASSUMPTION OF THE RISKS: I understand that naturally occurring disease processes (including, but not limited to, the novel coronavirus or COVID-19), may exist in the community, and present an inherent risk that cannot be completely eliminated. I acknowledge that, although Music Together of Salem is taking reasonable measures to avoid contact, transmittal, and exposure of disease processes like COVID-19 between people in our classes (including teachers, and third parties), it is ultimately my responsibility to ensure that I and my child take appropriate actions to safe-guard ourselves. I understand and agree that as a registered family with Music Together of Salem, I am accepting and voluntarily assuming the risk that my child or I may be exposed and become ill as a result of COVID-19 and other diseases.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: I, on behalf of myself and my child hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and covenant not to sue Music Together of Salem and its owners, managers, members, employees, agents, and volunteers (“Released Parties”) for any claims that may arise out of or relate in any way to my or my child’s exposure to any communicable disease, including but not limited to the novel coronavirus or COVID-19. The claims hereby released include, but are not limited to, claims of negligence against any of the Released Parties.

By registering for our in-person classes and attending them, you affirm "I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS WAIVER AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. BY ENROLLING IN THE IN-PERSON CLASS, I UNDERSTAND I HAVE GIVEN UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS AND THAT THIS IS A BINDING LEGAL DOCUMENT."

We reserve the right to dismiss a family when, in the sole discretion of Music Together of Salem, the family cannot be served with safety and with respect for the rights of other class-members. Dismissal is accompanied by a pro-rated refund for the remainder of the semester.

INSTRUMENTS SAFETY and HYGIENE PROCEDURES

In consideration of the health and safety of all participants, we make every effort to provide clean, safe, and sanitized instruments and props for use in our classes. All instruments and materials (such as egg shakers, play-along sticks, resonator bells, scarves, and any other items) that may have been placed in the mouth will be thoroughly cleaned after each session. Cleaning is performed with either a child-safe disinfectant, such as Benefect Disinfectant (for more information, visit Benefect’s Website), or with a soap and water solution.

To further ensure the safety of all children, we recommend that children avoid placing any metal or painted instruments in their mouths during class. We also remind all parents and guardians to supervise their children closely while using any musical props to minimize risk.

REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS, AND DISCOUNTS

Refunds (less the $25 registration fee) are only available before the first day of class unless the class is canceled. If a class is canceled, your tuition, including the registration fee, will be refunded in full.

Teachers and locations for in-person classes may change. Classes might be combined if they are under-enrolled.

MAKE-UPS

Make-ups are unlimited within the session you registered for. Unfortutanely, make-ups do not carry over to a future session. Special situations will be considered to the discretion of the Music Together of Salem director.
